Transportation Operations Clerk


Position Summary

The role of the Transportation Operations Clerk is to verify that Royal Celebrity Tours, Inc. is in compliance with the rules and regulations governing hours of service documentation for all motorcoach and luggage truck drivers. Responsibilities include overseeing that all hours of service records are completed and submitted in a timely fashion. Additionally, all driver log books are audited for accuracy and records are uploaded into a computer based tracking program. The Transportation Operations Clerk assists drivers in correcting errors discovered in the reconciliation process as well as supports Motorcoach Operations with administrative duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties of the Transportation Operations Clerk include:

  • Verifies that all commercial vehicle drivers complete and submit records of their hours of service.
  • Reviews all hours of service records for accuracy.
  • Audits all hours of service records and transfers the information into a database application.
  • Notifies drivers of errors in their documentation and assists in the resolution of such problems.
  • Updates various reports and files for the Motorcoach department.
  • Completes administrative duties as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

The Transportation Operations Clerk must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • A US citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the US
  • Must be able lift 50 pounds
Training Timeline:
Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.
 
Wages:
First year Transportation Operations Clerk - $10.00/hr

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Bonus:
Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 
 
Benefits:
