Tour Operations Agent


Position Summary

The role of the Tour Operations Agent is to take raw data and produce working manifests for operations, organize and create tour packets, create rooming assignment and book flights for field staff. They prepare manifests and related documentation for tour product flow. Tour Operations Agents work closely with the managers and supervisors to prepare manifests, tour documentation and provide operational support for a variety of departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of the Tour Operations Agent include but are not limited to:

  • Assist tour operations management with day to day operations
  • Download and organize Tour Package and Hotel manifests
  • Create and edit manifests to be used by the cruise ships during weekly embark and debark
  • Create and edit manifests to be used by field staff
  • Identify and report passenger discrepancies
  • Track special service requests, additions and tour cancellations
  • Assist in assembling weekly tour packets for tour directors
  • Create rooming assignments for tour directors
  • Book repositioning flights for tour directors
  • Assist tour operations management with clerical duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

The Tour Operations Agent must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
  • 18 years of age at start of employment
  • Possess a valid drivers license and a good driving record that falls within the guidelines of Royal Celebrity Tours
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be available to work from mid May through mid September
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High school graduate or equivalent certificate
  • Basic knowledge of fax machine, photo copier, and telephone
  • Must be able to work well on their own or within a group
  • Give close attention to detail
  • Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
  • Read, analyze and interpret common manuals and instructions
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
Training Timeline:

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.

Wages:

First year Tour Operations Agent - $12.00/hr (approximately 40 hours/week)

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Bonus:

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

Benefits:
