Talkeetna Guest Service Rep
The role of the Talkeetna GSR is to provide assistance with the departures and arrivals of guests to and from Talkeetna, guaranteeing a seamless cruisetour experience.

Talkeetna GSRs are the greeters, problem-solvers, and assistance providers while in Talkeetna. A Talkeetna GSR's duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting guests as they arrive/depart Talkeetna
  • Facilitate train depot arrival and departure process
  • Assisting guests with their luggage issues
  • Providing assistance and information about Talkeetna to our guests
  • Shuttling employees with company vans as necessary
  • Working closely with hotel's staff to organize and divide up guests' key packets into correct tour groups
  • Talkeetna GSRs need to be multi-task oriented, flexible, and above all else very friendly!

Minimum Qualifications
Talkeetna GSRs must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • 18 years of age by May 1, 2010
  • Possess a valid Alaska State drivers license and a good, safe driving record (no more than one moving violation or at fault accident in the last three years)
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause drug and alcohol testing
  • A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
  • Must be available from May 10, 2010 through September 17, 2010
 
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Tour Operations Manager will conduct the majority of this training via on-the-job training.
 
Housing
RCT will provide Talkeetna housing for Talkeetna GSR's.
 
Wages & Bonuses
First year Talkeetna GSR - $11.00/hr

All GSRs will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

 
Benefits
After successful completion of a full season contract, RCT employees are eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
