Rail Service Supervisor

Position Summary

The Rail Service Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Wilderness Express while en route to and from Anchorage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of the Rail Service Supervisor include but are not limited to:

• Supervises and motivates rail staff
• Monitors quality and sanitation of food service areas
• Manages cash handling, accounting, and daily reporting functions
• Serves as a liaison between rail staff and management
• Resolves customer service, personnel, computer, and maintenance issues

Rail Service Supervisors must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

• Be 21 years of age prior to beginning work
• Possess a current CPR and First Aid Certificate
• Posses previous supervisory, public speaking and food and beverage experience
• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Possess a current Food Manager certification. (Training will be provided)
• Possess a current TAPs card (Training will be provided)
• Be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test
• Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to work a full season
• Able to manage a team, in close quarters, of 12 crewmembers

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program starting in April.

First year Rail Service Supervisor $14.00/hour

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
