The Full-Time Rail Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on railcars. These duties will include but are not limited to, routine preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs. Assist with all aspects of the maintenance programs for the rail cars, vans and trucks. Duties will also include maintenance and routine inspections of the facilities and buildings.
Requirements:
Five years of maintenance and/or mechanical experience. Candidates must be able to work well with others. Good personal communication skills are a must. Must also be able to lift 70 pounds Evening/night shift required during the summer season, with occasional overtime.
The Fairbanks Rail Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on railcars. These duties will include but are not limited to, routine preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs. Assist with all aspects of the maintenance programs for the rail cars. Duties may also include maintenance and routine inspections of the facilities and buildings.

One year of maintenance and/or mechanical experience. Candidates must be able to work to work well with others. Good personal communication skills are a must. Must also be able to lift 70 pounds. Evening/night shift required, with occasional overtime.
These duties will include, but are not limited to, tracking and maintaining parts inventory for Rail and Motorcoach maintenance operations, Maintenance program data entry, maintaining hard-copy records, and expediting parts and other supplies from local and out-of-state vendors.
Requirements:
One year of parts and/or inventory experience preferred. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Good personal communication skills are a must. Candidates must have a clean driving record. Must also be able to lift 70 lbs.
