Rail Admin Assistant
The Rail Administrative Assistant processes all financial paperwork produced by daily operations onboard the railcars. This role is responsible for creating deposits, balancing the accounting spreadsheets, and various other reporting proceedures.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Processes daily reports, cash and credit card accounting and reconciliation
Creates cash deposits and banks for onboard use
Assembles and ship retail orders
Tracks financial aspects of the operation through various reports
Functions as Manager on Duty when necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates for the Rail Administrative Assistant position must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Be 18 years of age prior to May 1, 2010
Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test
Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Posses basic accounting skills
Familiar with Microsoft Excel
Possess basic clerical skills, some supervisory experience preferred
Able to work a full season (mid-May to mid-September)
Training Timeline
Once hired, all candidates will receive a thorough training program starting in May.
Housing
The Rail Administrative Assistant is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First Year Rail Administrative Assistant - $14.00/hour
The Rail Administrative Assistant will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages upon completion of his/her contract.

After successful completion of a full season contract RCT employees are eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
