Rail Admin Assistant
The Rail Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing payroll, daily receipts, and invoices, as well as performing general office duties in the Anchorage rail operations office.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Process daily receipts; cash accounting and reconciliation
Collect and transmit payroll data on a timely basis
Assist managers with general office duties and staff training
Complete other tasks as assigned
Perform related duties as required with or without accommodation
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates for the Rail Administrative Assistant position must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Be 18 years of age prior to May 1, 2008
Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Posses basic accounting skills
Familiar with Microsoft Excel
Possess basic clerical skills, some supervisory experience preferred
Able to work a full season (mid-May to mid-September.)
Training Timeline
Once hired, all candidates will receive a thorough training program starting in May.
Housing
The Rail Administrative Assistant is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First Year Rail Administrative Assistant - $14.00/hour
The Rail Administrative Assistant will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages upon completion of his/her contract.
Benefits
After successful completion of a full season contract RCT employees are eligible for a cruise of up to 14 days on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
