Pier Guest Service Representative


Position Summary

The role of a Pier Guest Service Representative is to support the guest departure process. This is accomplished by providing guests with direction and information regarding the next stage of the departure process. Representatives will greet all guests and verify that they receive the transfer experience that was arranged onboard the ship. This includes accommodating motorcoach, train, tour and independent transfers. THIS IS A ONE DAY A WEEK POSITION.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of a Pier Guest Service Representative include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and welcoming all departing guests
  • Providing guests with information and direction
  • Overseeing the safety of guests while on the pier
  • Verifies guests receive the correct transfer service that was arranged on the ship
  • Offers solutions or recommendations to resolve any guest issues or escalating the concern as required to assure guest satisfaction
  • Resolves issues with luggage services
  • Completes personal property reports for damaged or misplaced luggage
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Minimum Qualifications:

Pier Guest Service Representatives must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Be able to work in a team environment with other company employees, shipboard personnel and terminal security staff
  • Have excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to respond to and provide solutions to common inquiries or complaints from guests
 
 
 
 
 
Training Timeline:
Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.
 
Wages:
First year Pier Guest Service Representatives - $10.00/hr

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Bonus:
Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 
 
Benefits:
If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
