Pier GSR
FRIDAYS ONLY (5/25-9/7)
The role of the Pier GSR is to provide assistance with the departures and arrivals of cruise guests, guaranteeing a seamless cruise experience. This is a Friday only position in Seward, AK. The responsibilities of this position include meeting the ship and coordinating transfers, resolving guest service issues, and administering ship check-in.
Pier GSRs are the greeters, problem-solvers, and guest assistance providers while in Seward. A Pier GSRs duties include but are not limited to:
Meeting and greeting guests as they arrive/depart at the pier
Assisting guests with their luggage
Providing assistance and information to our guests
Helping out in the operations offices as needed
Administering ship check-in
Coordinating ship arrivals and departures
Pier GSRs need to be multi-task oriented, flexible, and above all else very friendly!
Minimum Qualifications
Pier GSRs must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Pier Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training via on-the-job training.
Housing
Pier GSRs are responsible for their own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Pier GSR - $10.00/hr
All Pier GSRs will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.
Benefits
After successful completion of a full season contract, RCT employees are eligible for a cruise of up to 14 days on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
