FRIDAYS ONLY (5/21-9/10)
The role of the Seward Guest Service Representative (GSR) is to be the main guest contact for both the disembarkation and embarkation process. During disembarkation, GSRs make certain that tour and cruise-only guests board the correct mode of transportation, either motorcoach or train, for their transfer to Anchorage. During embarkation, GSRs are the greeters, problem solvers, and check-in agents at the start of the guest's cruise.

A Pier GSRs duties include but are not limited to:

  • Direct guests departing the ship to the correct transfer service or to the terminal to collect luggage
  • Complete personal property reports for damaged or misplaced luggage
  • Administer ship check-inwhich includes but is not limited to directing guests, serving cookies, using ship check-in computers, filing paperwork, and helping with Sea Pass cards onboard the ship
  • Answer any and all guest questions relating to the disembarking and embarking processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Pier GSRs must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
 
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Pier Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training via on-the-job training.
 
Housing
Pier GSRs are responsible for their own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
 
Wages & Bonuses
First year Pier GSR - $10.00/hr

All Pier GSRs will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

 
Benefits
After successful completion of a full season contract, RCT employees are eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
