Ops Specialist
The role of the Ops Specialist-Transportation is to directly assist the Transportation Supervisor with all aspects of transportation operations.

The duties of the Ops Specialist-Transportation include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor radio communications
  • Generate "Daily Vehicle Dispatch"
  • Control and monitor curb traffic in downtown Anchorage or at the airport using a 2-Way radio
  • Update and maintain the "Vehicle Tracker"
  • Troubleshoot company's transportation operational issues/problems
  • Fuel vehicles
  • Update and maintain driver room lists
  • Audit driver logbooks and timesheets
  • Handle operational emergencies as necessary
  • Maintain accurate operational equipment inventory

Minimum Qualifications
The Ops Specialist-Transportation must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Possess a valid drivers license and a good, safe driving record (no more than one moving violation or at fault accident in the last three years).
  • Provide a current (no older than 30 days) copy of his/her Motor Vehicle Record
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • A US citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the US

 
Training Timeline
Once hired, the Transportation Supervisor will conduct the majority of the training for the Ops Specialist-Transportation beginning the end of April.
 
Housing
Out-of-state employees are responsible for providing their own transportation to Alaska and seasonal housing while in Anchorage.
 
Wages & Bonuses
First year Ops Specialist-Transportation - $14.00/hr

The Ops Specialist-Transportation will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

 
Benefits
After successful completion of a full season contract, RCT employees are eligible for a cruise of up to 14 days on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
