Ops Specialist-Guest Service
The role of an Ops Specialist-Guest Service is to staff RCT's Operations Center. They are the liaisons between Managers, Supervisors and field staff. Ops Specialists are also a primary contact for guest service issues and tracking of misplaced luggage and lost and found items. Ops Specialists are also responsible for maintaining all daily operations documents and clearly communicating daily activities to RCT field staff.

The duties of an Ops Specialist-Guest Service include but are not limited to:

  • Handle all communications including email, phone, and radio traffic
  • Handle and resolve any guest service issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Generate, maintain and update daily operations documents including manifests, logs, and schedules
  • Troubleshoot operational issues
  • Act as a resource to field staff regarding operational issues
  • Locate and expedite lost luggage/lost & found items
  • Assist with operational emergencies as necessary
  • Maintain accurate operational equipment inventory
  • Process Guests' personal property claims
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
Ops Specialists-Guest Service must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be available to work from May 3 - September 17, 2010
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record that falls within the guidelines of Royal Celebrity Tours
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • A US citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the US
  • Must be able to handle baggage and lift 50-75 pounds
  • Must have previous guest/customer service experience

 
Training Timeline
Once hired, the Guest Service Operations Supervisor will conduct the majority of the training for an Ops Specialist-Guest Service beginning in May.
 
Housing
Out-of-state employees are responsible for providing their own transportation to Alaska and seasonal housing while in Anchorage.
 
Wages & Bonuses
First year Ops Specialist-Guest Service - $12.00/hr

All Ops Specialists-Guest Service will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
