Responsibilities of Luggage Truck Drivers include but are not limited to:

• Transport guests' luggage between airport, ship, and hotels
• Load/Unload guests' luggage onto trucks and motorcoaches while maintaining counts.
• Work closely with hotels' bell staff, tour directors, drivers and GSRs.
• Assist Tour Directors and GSRs in the location and expediting of lost or misplaced luggage.
• Complete all required daily paperwork
• Complete other tasks as assigned

• 21 years of age or older by May 1 of the year for which applying
• Able to successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause drug & alcohol testing
• Possess a valid Alaska state drivers license or able to obtain an Alaska state drivers license once hired
• Cannot have the following moving violations within the previous 3 years:
  (1) Driving 15 mph or more over the posted speed limit
  (2) Following vehicle ahead too closely
  (3) Improper of erratic lane change
  (4) Reckless driving
  (5) A violation arising in connection with a fatal accident (other than a parking violation)
• Cannot have the following convictions:
  (1) DWI
  (2) DUI
  (3) Refusal to undergo such testing as required by any State or jurisdiction
  (4) More than 1 moving violation within the previous 2 years
  (5) Leaving the scene of an accident
  (6) Commission of a felony
• Must be able to handle baggage and able to lift 50-75 pounds repeatedly
• Must be a U.S. citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
• Successfully complete a driver training program and pass all associated tests

A current Commercial Drivers License (Class B) with Air Brake endorsement is preferred, however RCT may provide CDL training to qualified applicants.

All Luggage Truck Drivers will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
