Luggage Supervisor
The role of the Luggage Supervisor is to oversee, schedule and train Luggage Handlers in airport, hotel and shipturn operations, which include arrivals and departures of all guests.
Primary responsibilities of the Luggage Supervisor include but are not limited to:
Assist Operation Managers & Supervisors as needed
Produce weekly schedules for Anchorage Luggage Handlers
Oversee luggage truck loading at the airport, hotels and shipturn Hospitality Center
Oversee luggage operations at airport, hotels, and shipturn Hospitality Center
Oversee the daily duties of Anchorage Luggage Handlers in multiple locations including the Anchorage Airport & hotels.
Serve as a supervisory referral point for turnaround day guest luggage complaints, communicating missing luggage to Ops Specialist
Minimum Qualifications
The Luggage Supervisor must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
18 years of age by May 1, 2009
Available from May 4 - Sep 18, 2009
Possess a valid drivers license and a good, safe driving record (no more than one moving violation or at fault accident in the last three years)
Provide a current (no older than 30 days) copy of his/her Motor Vehicle Record
Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Possess a current CPR certificate and First Aid card
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Guest Service Operations Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training starting in April.
Housing
The Luggage Supervisor position is based in Anchorage and is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Luggage Supervisor - $13.00/hr
The Luggage Supervisor will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.
