Luggage Handler Lead
The role of the Luggage Handler Lead is to supervise, schedule and train Anchorage luggage handlers in airport & hotel operations, which include arrivals and departures of all guests.
Primary responsibilities of the Luggage Handler Lead include but are not limited to:
On-site Anchorage Airport Supervisor to handle guests' luggage issues
On-site Anchorage Hotel Supervisor to handle guests' luggage issues
Produce weekly schedule for Anchorage Luggage Handlers
Assist in the training of Anchorage luggage handler staff
Assist in facilitation of luggage operations
Oversee the daily duties of Anchorage luggage handlers at the Anchorage airport & hotels
Minimum Qualifications
The Luggage Handler Lead must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Must 18 years old as of May 1, 2008
Must be available to work May 15 - September 18, 2008
Possess a valid drivers license and a good, safe driving record (no more than one moving violation or at fault accident in the last three years)
Provide a current (no older than 30 days) copy of his/her Motor Vehicle Record
Be willing to submit to drug and alcohol testing
Possess current First Aid and CPR certification
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Luggage Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training starting in May.
Housing
The Luggage Handler Lead position is based in Anchorage and is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Luggage Handler Lead- $11.00/hr
The Luggage Handler Lead will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.
