Land Excursion Specialist
The role of the Land Excursion Specialist is to book guests on optional excursions. They are responsible for communicating effectively with tour directors and vendors, maintaining block space for optional excursions and preparing online land excursion bookings and pre-trip material as needed.
A Land Excursion Specialsists duties include but are not limited to:
Receiving reservation requests from tour directors via email, fax, or telephone
Compiling reservation requests and submitting to excursion vendors
Managing the available bloack space for excursions
Accurately documenting reservation requests
Tailoring pre-trip excursion packets
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Land Excursion Specialists must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
18 years of age by May 1, 2010
Be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause Drug and Alcohol testing
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Must be available from May 3, 2010 through September 17, 2010
Prior work experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
High school graduate or equivalent certificate
Basic knowledge of fax machine, photo copier, and telephone
Valid driver's license
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program starting in May. There may be a few required evening group classroom sessions and possibly an occasional weekend session.
Housing
Out-of-state employees are responsible for providing their own transportation to Alaska and seasonal housing while in Anchorage.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Land Excursion Specialist - $12.00/hr (approximately 40 hours/week)
All Land Excursion Specialists will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

After successful completion of a full season contract, RCT employees are eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
