Guest Service Rep. - ANC
The role of the Anchorage Guest Service Representative (GSR) is to provide assistance with the departures and arrivals of guests at the Anchorage International Airport as well as Anchorage hotel properties, guaranteeing a seamless cruise or cruisetour experience.
Anchorage GSRs are the greeters, problem-solvers, and guest assistance providers while in Anchorage. GSRs assist Luggage Truck and Motorcoach Drivers in loading and unloading luggage from trucks and motorcoaches.
An Anchorage GSRs duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate guest arrivals and departures at hotel properties and the Anchorage airport.
Meet and greet guests as they arrive at the Anchorage airport and provide them with any necessary information.
Assist guests with their luggage in the baggage terminal
Load and unload luggage onto trucks and motorcoaches while maintianing accurate counts
Assist in the location and expediting of lost or misplaced luggage
Handle and resolve any guest service issues in a timely and appropriate manner
Provide clear and concise directions to motorcoach drivers relating to airport and hotel operations
Work closely with hotels' bell staff and other RCT field staff
Drive company vans as necessary
Assist in the operations office as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Anchorage GSRs must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Must be 18 years of age prior to May 1, 2010
Must be availble to work from May 12 - September 17, 2010
Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Be able to lift 50-75 pounds repetitively
Have previous guest/customer service experience
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The GSR Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training via on-the-job training.
Housing
Anchorage GSRs are responsible for their own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Anchorage GSR - $10.00/hr
All Anchorage GSRs will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.

After successful completion of a full season contract, RCT employees are eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
