Ground Operations Supervisor
The Ground Operations Supervisor is to assist with all aspects of the railcar and prep kitchen operations with a focus on food and beverage service.

Primary responsibilities of the Ground Ops Supervisor include but are not limited to:

  • Trains and supervises a Ground Support staff of 4 employees
  • Ensures that the railcars are stocked with all required food, beverage, and retail supplies prior to departure
  • Ensures that the exterior of the railcars are clean prior to departure
  • Coordinates food preparation with Prep Cook
  • Maintains inventory and rotates stock
  • Responsible for making certain all safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications
    The Ground Ops Supervisor must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Be 21 years of age prior to May 1, 2010
  • Possess a current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Posses previous supervisory and food and beverage experience
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Possess a current Food Manager Certification. (Training will be provided)
  • Be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to work a full season (early-May to mid-September)

    Training Timeline
    Once hired, all candidates will participate in a thorough training program starting in May.
     
    Housing
    Employees are responsible for their own housing while not on tour. While on duty RCT will provide dorm style, company housing in Fairbanks. Out-of-state employees are responsible for providing their own transportation to Alaska and housing while in Anchorage.
     
    Wages & Bonuses
    First year Ground Operations Supervisor $15.00/hour

    Employees will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages upon completion of their contract.

    After successful completion of a full season contract RCT employees are eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruise Lines at a highly discounted employee rate.
