Friday Hospitality GSR
The role of the Friday Hospitality Center Guest Service Representative (Friday Hospitality GSR) is to assist guests with making transfer arrangements from Anchorage to Seward. Friday Hospitality GSRs greet guests when they arrive at the Anchorage Hospitality Center as well as verify all check-in documentation has been properly completed and conduct ship check-in if necessary. For guests coming from the cruise ship, Friday Hospitality GSRs make certain that any checked carry-on luggage is stored in a secure location for the remainder of the afternoon.
Primary responsibilities of the Friday Hospitality GSR include but are not limited to:
Meet and greet guests as they arrive at the Anchorage Hospitality Center, coordinate their arrival and departure as well as provide them with any necessary information.
Assist guests with their transfer to Seward via motorcoach or train service. Sell guests a transfer if needed.
Handle and resolve any guest service issues in a timely and appropriate manner
Assist guests in filling out check-in documentation and verify that it is completed correctly
Watch checked carry-on luggage and make certain all remains secure until claimed by guest
Check-in guests using shipboard computer system if necessary
Clarify Immigration documentation requirements
Work closely with hotels' staff and other RCT field personnel
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
The Friday Hospitality GSR must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
16 years of age by May 1, 2010
Available from May 10 - Sep 10, 2010
Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Guest Service Operations Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training starting in April.
Housing
The Friday Hospitality GSR position is based in Anchorage and is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Friday Hospitality GSR - $10.00/hr
The Friday Hospitality GSR will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.
