Friday GSR Lead
The role of the Friday GSR Lead is to oversee the operations at the Hospitality Center on ship days including ship check-in, transfer arrangements, and transfer arrivals and departures. The Friday GSR Lead assists the Guest Service Representative Supervisors in coordinating guest arrivals and departures via motorcoach.
Primary responsibilities of the Friday GSR Lead include but are not limited to:
Supervise Friday Hospitality Center Guest Service Representatives in performing ship check-in and making transfer arrangements as well as the meeting and greeting of guests as they arrive at the Anchorage Hospitality Center.
Setup embarkation signage in Hospitality Center room
Assist guests with their transfer arrangements to Seward via motorcoach or train service. Sell guests a transfer if needed.
Handle and resolve any guest service issues in a timely and appropriate manner and provide guests with any necessary information.
Coordinate with the Anchorage GSR Supervisor concerning motorcoach arrivals and departures.
Assist guests in filling out check-in documentation and verify that it is completed correctly
Monitor Grandview Train transfer sales. Verify all transfer vouchers are sent in a packet to the ship for processing
Watch checked carry-on luggage and make certain all remains secure until claimed by guest
Check-in guests using shipboard computer system if necessary
Clarify Immigration documentation requirements
Work closely with hotels' staff and other RCT field personnel
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
The GSR Lead must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Must be 18 years of age prior to May 1, 2010
Must be available to work from May 10 - September 10, 2009
Provide a current (no older than 30 days) copy of his/her Motor Vehicle Record
Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The GSR Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training starting in May.
Housing
The Friday GSR Lead position is based in Anchorage and is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Friday GSR Lead - $12.00/hr
The GSR Lead will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.
