Fairbanks Guest Service Representative


Position Summary

Fairbanks Guest Service Representatives greet, check-in, assist, and guide guests at the airport and hotels. They are the first of last employee met by our guests. Therefore, their performance is critical to the overall impression that guests have of Royal Celebrity Tours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greet and check-in guests
  • Assist guests with identification of luggage, delayed luggage claims, and other service issues
  • Direct or lead guests to coaches for transfers
  • Assist Fairbanks Airport Supervisors to locate and transport delayed or misplaced luggage
  • Serve as a Fairbanks Luggage Handler as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

Guest Service Representatives must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as applicants:

  • A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
  • 18 years of age at start of employment
  • Possess a valid Alaska State drivers license and a good, safe driving record (no more than one moving violation or at fault accident in the last three years)
  • Be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be available to work from mid May through mid September
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Assist guests and systematically resolve issues
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Must successfully complete provided van training program 
  • Repeatedly lift and move 50-75 pounds
  • Work early morning, late evening, and/or week-end shifts
Training Timeline:

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.

Wages:

First year Fairbanks Guest Service Representative - $10.00/hr

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Bonus:

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

Benefits:

If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
