Fairbanks Operations Supervisor

Position Summary

The Fairbanks Operations Supervisor manages the Fairbanks Operations Coordinators, Guest Service Representatives, and Office Clerks. This position oversees day to day tour arrivals and departures, hotel logistics, airport operations and luggage handling.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Tour Operations Manager in day to day operations and the supervision of the Fairbanks staff
• Assist in pre-season preparation and training
• Lead and guide team members in the performance of their duties 
• Provide ground support for coach divers, tour directors, office, airport and rail crew
• Schedule coordinators, guest service representatives and office clerks
• Serve as a guest service representative and/or luggage handlers
• Drive van shuttles as needed for any guest service issues
• Work with Fairbanks' hotel partners to communicate schedule changes and guest service issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Operations Supervisors must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

• A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
• 21 years of age at start of employment
• Possess a valid drivers license and a good driving record that falls within the guidelines of Royal Celebrity Tours
• Be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause drug and alcohol testing
• Must be available to work from mid May through mid September
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with Windows, Word and Excel
• Multi-task in a busy environment
• Work independently and as a member of a team
• Must successfully complete provided van training program   
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Assist guests and systematically resolve issues
• Lift and move 50-75 pounds
• Work early morning, late evening and/or week-end shifts

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.

First year Fairbanks Operations Supervisor - $16.00/hour

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
