Cruise Airport Service Representative


Position Summary

The role of the Cruise Airport Service Representative is to assist guests passing through the Anchorage airport either going to or coming from a cruise sailing. Cruise Airport Service Representatives assist guests with their transfer to Seward via motorcoach or train. Additionally, they collect and tally luggage for guests who are going to the ship and secure all bags that come from the ship until they are claimed by the correct owner. THIS IS A ONE DAY A WEEK POSITION.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of a Cruise Airport Service Representative include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate guest arrivals and departures at the Anchorage airport
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the Anchorage airport
  • Assist guests with their transfer to Seward via motorcoach or train service.  Sell guests a transfer if needed
  • Provide guests with directions and any necessary information
  • Handle and resolve any guest service issues
  • Assist guests in filling out check-in documentation
  • Assist guests with their luggage in the airport baggage terminal
  • Assist in locating and expediting of lost or misplaced luggage
  • Secure checked luggage until claimed by guests coming from the ship. Tally and secure luggage belonging to guests going to the ship
  • Work closely with RCT field personnel
  • Provide clear and concise directions to motorcoach drivers
  • Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:

Cruise Airport Service Representatives must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be available to work mid-May thru mid-September
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Have excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Be able to respond to and provide solutions to common inquiries or complaints from guests
  • Be able to lift 50-75 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods of time
Training Timeline:

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.

Wages:

First year Cruise Airport Service Representative - $10.00/hr

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day.

Bonus:

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

Benefits:

If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
