Bartender-Barista

Position Summary

The Bartender-Barista provides guests with beverage service while they are onboard the Wilderness Express railcars.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides beverage service for up to 240 guests per day
• Conducts inventories and places orders for supplies to be stocked onboard according to guest counts
• Greets guests and does bar/special presentation over microphone
• Assists the Rail Guide with narration and gift shop sales as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned

Candidates for the Bartender-Barista position must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Be 21 years of age prior to beginning work
• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Possess a current TAPs card (Training will be provided)
• Be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test
• Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to work a full season 
• Be able to work as a team in close quarters with 5 other crewmembers

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program starting in May.

First year Bartender-Barista $10.00/hour + gratuities

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
