Anchorage Guest Service Coordinator


Position Summary

The role of the Anchorage Guest Service Coordinator (GSR Coordinator) is to oversee and train Anchorage Guest Service Representatives and shipturn staff in airport, hotel and hospitality center operations. The Guest Service Coordinator ensures a seamless cruise or cruisetour experience for arriving and departing guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Primary responsibilities of a GSR Coordinator include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee the daily duties of Anchorage Guest Service Representatives
  • Assist Supervisor of Guest Services in shipday preparations
  • Produce a schedule for Anchorage Guest Service Representative's and Cruise Airport Service Representatives for Friday guest service operations at the Anchorage airport
  • Coordinate guest arrivals and departures
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the Anchorage airport
  • Provide guests with directions and any necessary information
  • Handle and resolve any guest service issues
  • Assist guests with their luggage in the airport baggage terminal
  • Load and unload luggage onto trucks and motorcoaches while maintaining accurate counts
  • Assist in locating and expediting of lost or misplaced luggage
  • Ensure the security of checked luggage until claimed by guest
  • Complete reports for damaged or misplaced luggage
  • Coordinate with hotels bell staff and other RCT field staff
  • Provide clear and concise directions to motorcoach drivers relating to airport and hotel operations
  • Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
 
Anchorage Guest Service Coordinators must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be available to work May thru mid-September
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Have proven supervisory experience
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Have excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management and employees
  • Be able to respond to and provide solutions to common inquiries or complaints from guests
  • Be able to lift 50-75 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods of time
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (no more than one moving violation or at fault accident in the last three years)
Training Timeline:

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.

Wages:

First year Anchorage Guest Service Coordinator - $13.00/hr

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
 
Bonus:

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

Benefits:
