Cruise Service Representative


Position Summary

The role of a Cruise Service Representative is to assist guests with making transfer arrangements from Anchorage to Seward. Cruise Service Representatives greet guests when they arrive at the Anchorage Hospitality Center and verify all check-in documentation has been properly completed. For guests coming from the cruise ship, Representatives offer informational assistance and make certain that any checked carry-on luggage is stored in a secure location for the remainder of the afternoon. THIS IS A ONE DAY A WEEK POSITION.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities of a Cruise Service Representative include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate guests arrivals and departures at the Anchorage Hospitality Center
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the Anchorage Hospitality Center
  • Assist guests with their transfer to Seward via motorcoach or train service. Sell guests a transfer if needed
  • Provide guests with directions and any necessary information
  • Handle and resolve any guest service issues
  • Assist guests in filling out check-in documentation
  • Secure checked carry-on luggage until claimed by guest
  • Work closely with hotel staff and other RCT field personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
Minimum Qualifications:

Cruise Service Representatives must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be available to work mid-May thru mid-September
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Be able to work in a team environment with other company employees
  • Have excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Be able to respond to and provide solutions to common inquiries or complaints from guests
  • Be able to lift 25 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods of time
Training Timeline:

Once hired, RCT will provide you with a thorough training program via classroom and on-the-job training.

Wages:

First year Cruise Service Representatives - $10.00/hr

Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for the hours in excess of 8 hours per day.

Bonus:

Upon successful completion of the assignment, you will be eligible for a Longevity Bonus calculated at 10% of your gross wages (regular and overtime) earned during this assignment. 

Benefits:

If hired prior to July 1st, and upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be eligible for a cruise on Royal Caribbean International or Celebrity Cruises at a highly discounted employee rate.
