| This Anchorage based full-time position will be responsible for tour operations accounting, financial analysis, planning/forecasting, tracking time and attendance, and accounts payable. Specific duties will include: Rail onboard revenue accounting (cash & credit card transactions, POS system maintenance, tip reporting, and payouts).Land Excursions accounting (credit card transactions, refunds, cost of sales/invoice processing, voucher controls). Also involved with ASR reporting.Time & attendance reporting in Kronos for Alaska seasonal and non-exempt employees.Per diem reporting to Payroll Department.Monthly physical inventory counts and reporting.Petty cash and check log reporting.Weekly invoice log to Seattle/Miami.A staff of two seasonal employees will report to this position. The candidate must effectively train and delegate tasks, as well as review work for accuracy and completeness. In addition the position will be responsible for preparing journal entries related to the above operations in the Accounting JDE system and submitting them for review and posting to the Manager, Finance & Accounting. The position will also analyze financial results and assist the Alaska management team in the monthly forecasting and annual planning process. May also be called upon to perform ad hoc analysis and assist with various operations reporting requirements. |
